Unifying rhythm of Melting Touch creates wave in body
Marci's Melting Touch for Lymphatic Clearing is eclectic and unique. I combine many years of training, case studies, cross-references, and verifiable results.

Lecture/Demo's for Face, Abdomen, Scar, anatomy charts + more:
http://YouTube.com/marcijavril

The foundation of my work is based on Lauren Berry's Method®
of draining the spleen's debris into the colon, and clearing mucus from the pleural cavity of the lungs, which ultimately allows the head & sinuses to drain.

MELTING TOUCH not only accomplishes superficial lymphatic drainage, which sends plasma back to the blood, this is DE-CONGESTING ALL the DEBRIS from ALL YOUR CELLS and turning your seemingly hard body into its LIQUID form, whereupon the increased lymphatic flow through the filtering nodes is 20 times greater.

Your internal rhythm becomes like the ocean, undulating subtly and UNIFYING ALL fluid movement, making a standing wave throughout the entire body. The manner in which Melting Touch is done, creates a para-sympathetic state, generating Theta-brainwave activity. Thus you ACCELERATE the natural HEALING process.

For a more powerful detox, I incorporate internal organ massage (colon, liver, gall bladder, spleen, lungs, pericardium), derived from Chi Nei Tsang. Also very beneficial to lymphatic fluid movement are techniques from myofascial release (John Barnes) & cranio-sacral unwinding (Upledger Institute).

Scar softening & adhesion release
are ESSENTIAL to freeing up fluid retention & congestion, and through hundreds of case histories, I have developed a progressive program for self-care.

Currently I am video-documenting the progress of a colleague recovering from surgery. With her cooperation, we are creating a detailed time-line of how fast you CAN heal, using Melting Touch to enhance the natural process.

I emphasize approaching YOUR REJUVENATION from all directions, and becoming PRO-ACTIVE!

If you want radiant vitality & longevity, you must give attention to ALL 5 Dimensions of Life - physical, sexual, emotional, mental & spiritual.

Hot+Cold Ritual, DolphinDancing, Whirlpool at Harbin
Dear Blue-eyed,

Yes, once again it is September, and even without the seasons, here in California we celebrate the end of the official summer with loud & lively pool parties. I attended several this year, and enjoyed using my dive mask every time.

Have you had a chance to become One with Water lately?

In the first place, my mask keeps the chlorine out of my eyes & keeps my contact lenses in. Anther plus, it keeps my nose covered so I can easily do somersaults over a noodle and wiggle like a dolphin into the deep end. As an experienced snorkeler & scuba diver, I love to free-dive anywhere, anytime.

My favorite places have warm tropical waters - see photo above -> That's ME waving to you from my patio in Koh Tao, Thailand, my front doorstep had jacuzzi temp ocean filled with sealife. Otherwise, my unfortunate tendency toward hypothermia makes me wear a wetsuit - even in a normal swimming pool - ugh!

Whenever I go to Harbin Hot Springs ( HOTHOT pool shown here - what a Treasure), I enjoy the enlivening beauty of NATURAL MINERAL WATER, and savor the extremes.

Upon my arrival, I anticipate my connection with Quan Yin, who holds the space atop the highest Altar, at the colddip, above the HOTHOT silent pool. (I rarely bother with the medium temperature pool, where couples linger, and Watsu happens whenever there's room.)

My Ritual is to soak three times in my 2 favorite pools - first the HOTHOT until I can't stand it, then the colddip (ring chimes), then the HOTHOT again, this time putting my head below the water. Then the second colddip, and now I sit to MEDITATE with Quan Yin. I kiss Her feet and soak up all the Blessings those before me have made. I offer Blessings to all those who go after me.

We Are As One
I sit in meditation until I shiver
(ring chimes)

Last soak in the HOTHOT, I lace my legs between the iron railings, and press myself downward, pushing my upper body flat against the tub side. Lying upside-down whilst dangling from my knees, and being very still, I take as long a time as possible to be underwater. First I hold my breath. Then, I exhale slowly, and sometimes come up for air, only to fall back down again for another long breath.

My Ritual ends with the colddip, kissing Her feet once again, ring chimes 3rd time, and melt my way back to my tent, to soak in my own WATERY self.

AH yes... I totally remember now, I am mostly LIQUID!!

When I go to Harbin's Conference Center, the private workshop'ers get 2 POOLS all to ourselves, so we can get wild in our upper pool, and do Watsu in our lower pool. We have a fabulous game -DOLPHIN DANCING - which is a watery version of Contact Improvisation, taught to me by Aqua & Flo.

Using nose plugs (or goggles), we improvise underwater ballet, by pushing & pulling gently, offering a slight resistance to arms & legs & hands, so that we gently & delightfully swirl & whirl around each other in an amazing graceful Dance of weightless in 360 degrees and NO SEPARATION!

We Are As One

And don't forget, there is also WHIRLPOOL, a fast-paced race round & round in the circular pool, with 5-20 people, creating an ongoing current that speeds and swishes our bodies faster & faster in a revolving wonderland. I can lift my feet and float on the momentum. After a time, we switch directions.

My goodness, we dancers sure know how to have fun in the water!!

Why we are SO dependent on Water!
What is the most abundant material on earth? WATER

WATER is also the most abundant substance in the human body, making up one half to two thirds of BODY WEIGHT.

YOUR BODY WEIGHT divided by 2 = HOW MANY OUNCES per day of WATER you need to drink - not just fluid, but specifically - water!!
(150 lb person should drink 75oz = 2.5 quarts per day)

In medicine, body water is ALL of the water content of the human body. Lean muscle tissue contains about 75% water by weight. Blood contains 95% water, body fat contains 14% water and bone has 22% water. Skin also contains much water. The human body is about 60% WATER CONTENT in adult males and 55% in adult females. Muscle holds more water than fat tissue.

Every part of the body, from the individual cell to the entire circulation system, depends upon water to function.

Water is needed for:

* Transporting nutrients and oxygen to all parts of the body via the circulatory (blood) and lymphatic systems.

* Maintaining blood volume. The lymphatic system recycles interstitial fluid, which is responsible for washing out cellular debris, sending filtered plasma back to the circulatory system.

* Removing body waste materials through the elimination systems (mucus expectoration, colon, kidneys, spleen & lymph nodes).

* Serving as a medium for thousands of bio-chemical reactions that need to take place for daily functions.

* Helping maintain body temperature. (Heat is released when you sweat, which then helps to cool you down).

* Lubricating the joints to keep them moving freely throughout your lifetime.

Don't wait until you get thirsty, it's too late
Rehydration after exercise OR LYMPHATIC MASSAGE (which increases lymphatic flow by 20 times) is essential to restore the proper fluid level in your body.

The normal trigger for drinking is thirst, which is regulated by the amount of sodium (salt) in the blood. As the sodium content increases, receptors in the brain's hypothalamus trigger the thirst sensation. At the same time, "thirsty" blood draws water from the salivary glands. This is why we get a dry mouth when we haven't had enough to drink.

People tend to assume that thirst is a good indicator of fluid requirements. However, thirst is actually a sign that the body is already slightly dehydrated. Fluid levels need to be replenished before thirst even sets in.

When the body has become slightly dehydrated, the kidneys respond by conserving water and reabsorbing it back into the blood instead of removing it from the body as urine. This results in less urine being formed.

If you exercise, you need even MORE fluid. This is especially important if your workouts are in a hot and humid climate since sweating increases the loss of fluids. The American College of Sports Medicine recommends drinking BEFORE, DURING and AFTER exercise. At least 2 glasses of fluid two hours before exercising, then regular sipping during exercise replaces fluid lost through sweating.
